Community Engagement (CE)

“Every group has its own particular culture and norms and anyone can take the lead in engagement efforts”. – CDC 2011

CE is often misunderstood or only emerges in response to a community challenge, change or sudden need.  But CE should not be a reactionary effort.

CE operates best when it is a regular, ongoing, and proactive process. YOU can initiate, support and sustain a CE effort.

Whether you are a non-profit organization, a group of neighborhood residents, a faith-based institution or an established business let NFR help you recognize and successfully launch and sustain a CE effort.  Discover its importance and value in you and your community’s success.

Planning & Involvement

NFR will guide you through the 4 core elements of CE

  1. Community knowledge and understanding
  2. Trust and relationship building
  3. Planning and sustaining the CE effort
  4. Community control.

We help you comfortably understand and work through these core elements. We help you understand and guide the needed discussion, commitment and time. NFR’s helps ensure there is alignment in goals, planning, actions, implementation, and evaluation in your effort.

Activities and Marketing

Activities are the outward signs that our communities see.

Frequently “free” events that gather people, activities create opportunities for conversation,  information sharing and engagement of residents on activities beyond “the” event.

Let NFR guide you in the important work involved in an  activity – both before and in follow-up after the event.  Understand your purpose, think through your ideas, your marketing effort, actvity and event implementation, and your follow up actions and evaluation.

NFR helps you initiate and sustain a successful CE effort.
